Andhra Pradesh state abbreviated as A.P is situated on the Southern coast of India. It is India's fourth largest state by area and fifth largest by population.


Its capital and largest city is Hyderabad. The Krishna and the Godavari and run across the state and is one of the Andhra Pradesh attractions.


The small enclave of the Yanam district of Pondicherry state lies in the Godavari Delta in north-east of the state.

The Telugu speaking areas of Hyderabad and Telugu speaking part of the madras Presidency was clibbed and it was named as Andhra Pradesh on November 1, 1956.But Geographically, Andhra Pradesh is comprises most of the eastern half of the Deccan plateau and the plains to the east of the Eastern Ghats. The whole state is divided into two: the northern part of the plateau is generally considered as the telangana region and the southern part is known as rayalaseema.
